Macabbi Youth for Active Participation in the Community!

The Macabbi Health Maintenance Organization has developed a youth program aiming to enrich its participants with issues from the medical world.

Macabbi has chosen to fully cooperate with the Medical Cadets Health Organization to train its youngsters and enrich their world of knowledge.

The Macabbi HMO is generously funding, as for today, more then 1,000 youths throughout Israel are active participants of the Medical Cadets experience.

They are becoming a meaningful part of our activities and are invited to join other programs such as youth missions and volunteering.

Together we are cultivating them to challenge their minds and body and contribute to society by ways of learning and volunteering.

This youth group largely accede Macabbi's younger members to include 15-16 teens from all around the country putting a special emphasis on peripheral areas and turning to all sectors of society.

The joy of Giving

The Medical world is directly connected with the support of others. Macabbi's youth are volunteering as supporters where ever they are needed.

The program is highly encouraged by the Ministry of Education recognizing The Macabbi HMO as a qualified body of personal to implement youth volunteers amongst its services.

The youths can be found within roentgen facilities, nursing rooms, helping patients with their physiotherapy exercises or visiting patients at their bed side keeping them company.

The Joy of Giving can be seen in both the sparkle in the eyes of volunteers and the smile of those they are reaching out for.

In light of the program's success we plan to:
  • Enlarge the number of the Macabbi locations operating the program.
  • Widen volunteering opportunities to for the benefit of society.
  • Develop a cooperation of social organizations for the implementation of volunteers.
